Cox had a weekend to remember. Friday night as the Indians won the 4-overtime thriller over Minster 86-82. The Senior was the game-high scorer with 33 points and 8 rebounds. Saturday night in a non-conference win over McComb (81-40) he added 31 points and became just the 16th player in Indian history to score a 1,000 points or more in his career.
The 64 points in two games is quite impressive, when you consider that this season Cox is averaging almost 15 points a game.

Parkway's Caleb Kinney Named SSN Player of the Week - 2-13-17
(2-13-17) This week's SSN Player of the Week is Parkway's Caleb Kinney.
The 6'1 Freshman Forward had a big weekend for the Panthers. Kinney helped Parkway break a 43-game MAC losing streak in leading the Panthers with 17 points (7-9 FG, 3-3FT), 7 rebounds and 5 steals in their 57-42 win over New Bremen. The last time Parkway won a MAC game was in February of 2012 when they beat New Bremen 52-51.
The Panthers would make it a perfect weekend beating Hardin Northern 79-38, Kinney had 14 points on the night.
Coldwater's Dylan Thobe Named SSN Player of the Week - 2-5-17

Thobe helped the Cavaliers to two wins over the weekend. On Friday night the Cavs beat MAC rival New Bremen 58-35, Thobe led Coldwater with 15 points, including three-3's. On Saturday night in a non-conference game Coldwater beat Covington 67-55, Thobe had 11 points and two more 3's for the weekend.
Marion Local's Tyler Mescher Named SSN Player of the Week - 1-29-17
Mescher led the Flyers to two wins over the weekend and was the leading scorer in both games. Friday night in MAC action in a 60-58 upset win over Ft. Recovery he had 19 points and 6 rebounds. In Saturday's game against WBL member St. Marys he led the way with 22 points in the 49-34 win.
St. Henry's Schlarman Named SSN Player of the Week - 1-22-17St. Henry Junior (6'0) Tyler Schlarman won for the second time this season as the SSN Player of the Week.
On Friday night in a 61-51 MAC over New Knoxville Schlarman had 21 points to lead St. Henry, on Saturday in a non-conference win over Ansonia he led the way with 17 points.
On the season Schlarman is averaging 13 points and 7 rebounds a game.
Ft. Recovery's Cox Named SSN Player of the Week - 1-8-172015-2016 season
(1-15-17) - This week's SSN Player of the Week is Ft. Recovery's Michaih Cox (6'5, Senior, Center).
Cox helped the Indians to a two win weekend, on Friday night he had 13 points in a 56-38 MAC win over New Bremen. Saturday night in a non-conference game Cox had 25 points and 9 rebounds in a 73-46 win over Franklin Monroe.
Celina's Murlin Named SSN Player of the Week - 1-8-17This week's SSN Boys Basketball Player of the Week is Celina's Junior Forward Kole Murlin.

On Saturday night Murlin helped a second half comeback as he scored 11 points (all in the 2nd half) and 11 rebounds as Celina won their second game of the year over New Bremen 58-44.
Jay County's Houck Named SSN Player of the Week - 12-31-16This week's SSN Boys Basketball Player of the Week is Jay County's 6'5 Senior Forward Jay Houck.
vs Homestead - last season
The Patriots won two OT games this week and Houck played a key roll in both wins.
Against Ft. Recovery, Houck led the way with a double-double scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 steals in a 13-point fourth quarter comeback to send the game to overtime, the Patriots would outscore the Indians 15-5 in OT for a 66-56 win.
Friday night against Muncie Central, Houck scored an 'old fashioned' three point play with 29.4 seconds left in regulation that would tie the game at 45 and send it into OT. The game would end with the Patriots picking up a 54-47 win. Houck would led Jay County with 13 points, with his performance he is now fourth on the Patriots All-Time career scoring list with 930 points.
Ft. Recovery's Bihn Named SSN Player of the Week - 12-25-16(12-25-16) Ft. Recovery Senior Matt Bihn, this week's SSN Boys Basketball Player of the Week, led a balanced Indian scoring attack with 15 points and 8 assists in a 92-59 win over Indiana rival Jay County. The Indians openned it up the big lead in the second half outscoring the Patriots 58-27.
Last week Bihn hit the last second game winner in a 56-55 overtime MAC win over Delphos St. Johns.
Marion Local's Bruns Named SSN Player of the Week - 12-18-16
Marion Local's Nathan Bruns (6'5 Sophomore) is this week's SSN Boys Basketball Player of the Week. The Flyers, playing in their first game due to winning the D VI State Football title, beat county rival St. Henry 61-53.
Bruns led the way for the blue and gold with a double-double, scoring 12 points and adding 10 rebounds in the win.
The Flyers Saturday night game with Celina was postponed due to the inclement weather.

St. Henry's Tyler Schlarman (6'0 Junior) helped the Redskins to a double-win weekend, against St. Marys in a 65-49 win he had 12 points, on Saturday night in a 71-41 win over Mississinawa Valley he had a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds.
Parkway's Baxter Named SSN Player of the Week - 12-4-16
(12-4-16) Parkway's 6'2 Sophomore Guard Mason Baxter has been named the SSN Player of the Week (12-4-16) The Panthers split two games of the opening weekend, beating Waynesfield-Goshen on Friday 65-46 and losing to Botkins on Saturday night 66-54.
Against W-G he had 12 points, including two 3-pointers and added 5 rebounds in the win. Saturday night in the loss to Botkins Baxter led the Panthers with 19 points, including four 3-pointers.

Last second shot by Jill Froning for unranked Celina wins the game over Ohio's #1 rated Pickerington (were also rated in USA Today Top 5)...Celina went on to win the Ohio D1 State Championsip game.
