Aggressive + Progressive = StabilityDrulia Named The Senior Reports Coach of the Year(May 13, 2008) - Stan Drulia Head Coach/GM of the Port Huron Icehawks was named today the 2008 The Senior Reports Coach of the Year. Port Huron is a member of the International Hockey League.Drulia headed up a franchise this year that almost did not return after last season in the UHL. The Icehawks didn't even have a franchise name until mid-summer with new ownership finally in place. Drulia than put together a franchise that surprised many hockey experts with a strong finish and just missing a Turner Cup Championship losing Game 7 in triple overtime to the regular season champion Fort Wayne Komets in front of 10,000 Fort Wayne fans. Dave Schmidt of The Senior Reports said "Coach Drulia is a pleasure to work with and we have helped him when he has requested certain needs. Truly a winner and he always took advantage of the reports we sent out to him and other coaches. That is why he is a winner, he uses anything he can to improve his team. This year was impressive for Coach and the Icehawks, especially when you consider most folks didn't give them much of a chance in the IHL. That's why he is a good coach." The Senior Reports provides information on graduating college senior hockey players from around North America, has an emergency goalie database (eBug) and also updates coaches and GM's on players being released and waived during the season. Teams in the past from the Southern, ECHL, International and overseas have used this service.
